Dream Together Playground

We are thrilled to collaborate with Playright Children’s Play Association in Hong Kong to create an innovative playground for children. Located in Hung Hom, this playground is designed to be a dynamic and safe space for children to play and learn. The project officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony on April 20, 2024, and is expected to be completed in 2025. Supported by the Development Bureau and the Harbourfront Commission, this project reflects our commitment to enhancing community spaces and providing enriching environments for children to thrive.

Operated on a site of 2,200 square meters, the play space would comprise a public open space, an outdoor adventure play space, and an indoor play space. In the inspirational and unique play environment, children would be encouraged to use different materials and resources to construct and create fun play and experience the three characteristics of the playground – risk-taking, child-led, and ever-changing. We believe these experiences are conducive to children’s development in an ever-changing society.

The Dream Together Playground concept involves Playright creating one half of the playground, while the other half is left to the children’s creation. Children participated in the ceremony, helping to develop the concept, zone the play space, and determine key dates and modes of play. This approach emphasizes child-led play, the core idea of the playground. Previously, the adventure play program was held on temporary sites.

To ensure all children can benefit from this unique initiative, we are implementing special measures for low-income groups.

Free Play Workshops:
– Children will participate in building the playground before it opens.

Free Entry for Deprived Families:
– Targeting low-income groups in the Kowloon City District.
– Collaboration with the District Council to distribute tickets.
– At least 10,000 children will benefit from this special program.
