Bringing Macao to Life Through Art

Leong Ieng Wai, also known as 0.38 for his preferred pen thickness, is a renowned artist from Macao and a member of the FuHong Society of Macau, a non-profit organization supporting individuals with disabilities. Despite his autism, Leong has demonstrated exceptional artistic talent, collaborating with the Macau government since 2015 and showcasing his work in various public and cultural events.

His notable works include a series of postcards depicting iconic Macao festival venues and themed souvenirs like water glasses and socks inspired by Macao’s old neighborhoods. These items aim to promote Macao’s cultural heritage and highlight the potential of artists with disabilities.
Leong’s art has been displayed in prominent venues, including the Macao Science Center and Macao International Airport. In 2015, Leong had his first solo exhibition “I Am 0.38 Art Exhibition” at St. Paul’s School. The exhibition fostered positive perceptions of people with disabilities among students and the community. His work emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating the unique abilities of individuals with disabilities.

His journey underscores the need to recognize and nurture the talents of individuals with disabilities, contributing to a more inclusive and empathetic society.
